PUNCH TV ANNOUNCES THE FALL LINE-UP AT 1 ANNUAL UPFRONT Los Angeles, CA, May 8, 2012- On Friday May 4, 2012, Punch TV Network held it’s First Annual Upfront at House of Blues in Hollywood, Ca. Punctuated by celebrity appearances by Miguel Nunez Jr., Obba Babatunde, Bill Dukes, Ella Joyce, Loraine Toussaint, Omar Gooding, and Countess Vaughn. The event opened with actress and recording artist, Lia Grant and the Punch TV Dancers as she sang the Punch TV anthem. Philanthropist and Community Leader, Ms. Daphna Ziman then graced the stage to share her wisdom and support for Punch TV as she presented the CEO, Mr. Joseph Collins. Sixteen original shows were presented at Punch TV’s Upfront. As Mr. Collins took the stage there was anticipation in the room. The advertising agents sat on edge to hear the definition of the New Urban America. The marketplace much sought after but very misunderstood. As he began speaking the crowd burst out in a roar with chants of Punch TV Punch TV Punch TV heard throughout the room as Mr. Collins engaged the audience and announced that Punch TV will target “The New Urban America” an America where there are no color lines and that transcend the stereotypical information that has defined Urban America. Acknowledging Punch TV’s innovativeness, he predicted that Punch will change America one household at a time. Punch TV is managed by a team of extremely gifted individuals who have came together to bring some of the most compelling programming that television can offer. As part of the presentation, Punch TV announced an unprecedented roster of new shows to the thirsty crowd. Snippets from sixteen shows were presented to the audience as stars of the shows took the stage. “The Guest List” starring Miguel Nunez Jr. brings comedy and energy as the new Late Night talk show. Competing with Ellen will be “The Louisa Show,” starring Louisa Diaz. Getting up close and personal into the lives of some the most influential people in show business, actor Obba Babatunde hosts “Beyond the Lens”. Zane, from the Sex Chronicles, brings “A Taste of Hunney” In this scripted reality series, an actress and a designer attempt to join forces to create a lingerie line that can compete with major brands such as Victoria’s Secret and Frederick’s of Hollywood. Fueled with drama, “Whatever It Takes” is a competitive music reality show that shows several young musically-inclined hopefuls in their pursuit of a successful career in the music industry. Punch also introduced several new scripted series. “Chick” a little bit of superhero in all of us. The series “12 Steps to Recovery”, three best friends humorously go through the trials of breakups, set backs, work, and life in the Big Apple. “Eighty-Six” is a drama detailing the nasty side of the music industry. Bringing a bit of faith into the mix, Punch introduced “Get Thee Behind Me,” a musical drama that chronicles the pathway to redemption of some of the Nation’s most vicious gangsters. “2nd District” is an action-packed drama about a police department that is struggling to maintain order in a community that has been seized by gangs. Adding to the action, Punch TV introduced “Port City PD,” a drama that follows three low-ranked detectives as they solve cases, fight crime, and attempt to prove themselves. The “Hollywood Punch Report” will be the network’s premiere entertainment news show. Our morning child’s show, “Filbert’s Big Bash”, in this educational show designed for children ages 3-9, several lovable dinosaurs make learning fun with dancing and singing. Punch also introduced the network’s only sci-fi series. “Black Dawn”, the series is the story of a group of college students who survive a deadly plague that has fallen over Los Angeles. CEO Joseph Collins also announced his plans to carry sports broadcasting such as professional basketball and mixed martial arts, as well as independent movies. With its diverse lineup of programming, Punch TV is set to make its mark in The New Urban American in 2012. The Fall season will begin airing in mid-September.
Ideal Youth Brings Employers to Students
Pasadena, CA - Ideal Youth, a Pasadena based youth summer internship program is spearheading, "HEY! How'd You Do That?", a free youth career and resource conference Saturday, May 5, 2012. The conference will take place at the Creveling Lounge in building CC at Pasadena City College from 9am-12pm.
This action provoking conference will be carried out by Pasadena high school students and is expected to attract young people from Grades 9 thru college freshmen. The purpose of the platform is to allow students a unique and open opportunity to network, gain resources and priceless insight in relation to several growing 21stCentury industries. The wide range of industry professionals represented include, but are not limited to, NBC, FBI, Huntington Hospital, and Charles Drew Medical University.
"Students will have the opportunity to interact with business and industry professionals and learn about careers, current labor needs and become better informed of the skills and educational requirements for employment in a diversity of jobs." Says Emma Sanchez, Pasadena City College Workforce Development. "We also hope to inspire young people to see their dreams as possible paths toward employment. "
During the interactive panel discussion and impressive line-up of professionals will share valuable information about their journey to dream careers in Law, Information Technology, Engineering, Promotions, Marketing and many more. This portion of the conference will be moderated thereby providing students the opportunity to ask questions that are important to them and get answers on the spot.
Lola Osborne, city of Pasadena Northwest Programs Manager, hopes parents and youth will see the benefit events like this bring to the community. "Today's youth are an integral part of our community and society as a whole. Parents should encourage their children to take advantage of every opportunity available to harness their boundless energy and enthusiasm into positive experiences. With exposure to new experiences, young people are capable of making extremely important contributions to their community."

Media from Q-Nice to of course The Bizness Magazine cover the red carpet as stars such as as Terri J. Vaughn of the Steve Harvey show, Michael Mccary of Boys II Men, the beautiful Jazmin Lewis who played the doctor, ElDebarge Jr...., Perisa White of Girlfriends and so many amazing celebs, NBA basketball players such as Dereck Anderson ex player for of San Antonio Spurs & Trailblazers and Wakim Hawkins ex Laker poured in from every where. Marriage of Chronicles is the MUST see movie for mothers, lovers, wifes, husbands, newlyweds, couples and more. The movie is full of comedy, emotion and lots of anticipation . Terri Vaughn , you know her best from the Steve Harvey show, was extremely funny and played her role like no other. The student for life from Girlfriends Percia White was sensual , funny and timid all at the same time. From the country church couple to the high arrogant couple there was so much to learn and think about when making decisions on who you fall in love with, marry and even sleep with. The plot of the movie was fantastic and the cast was superb, Jazmin lewis was the perfect doctor. Thumbs ups to One Truth Media and Vendetta Film Works.

BIZ MAG AWARDS

On Jan 29, 2012, We The Bizness Magazine hosted our very 1st Annual Biz Mag Awards and I must say it was pretty successful. The event started off with a great VIP session with champaign, gift bags from The Bizness and Hair Diva and some great orderbs with red carpet interviews and pictures from photographers and media from every where. As time grew near the guest entered into the Acme Theater where talent from Japan to Jamaica filled the room. There was the next Robin Thick aka DW with a performance that woke up the crowd like no other, then the next John B aka Jairemia Alexander with his sexy soulful voice. We even had the next Shabba, Mr. SupriZe and the Japanese Explosion Ryo Vibes and I cannot leave out the guitar playing energy guys, MO Betta and what about real hip hop from Jahpeto and MC Mprint. The audience was filled with celebs like Eric Zuley, Portia Beaman, Tony Boldi, Mr. Celes King IV and many others. The awards show was all about paying omage to the hottest people in each section of the magazine, MUSIC, FASHION,HEALTH and POLITICS. Some of the winners included AGNB for favorite new Business of the year, Curt Sanchez for Photographer of the year, Lady Lane & 4Duece for Rising Artist of the Year, Sister Oma for Health Guru of the Year, Brian Terry of Brit Boy Fashion for Designer of the, Debra Wilson for Favorite issue/ Cover Feature of the year and a few others. There was even a fashion show that highlighted the TOP 4 designers of the year, Faith Rudder of Dhkamani, Brian Terry of Brit Boy Fashion and Zane Marie of Zane Marie Bags. For the 1st Annual it was a pretty nice turn out and we thank each and every person that came out to support such and event. We look forward to next year and many more to come.

Nov 12, 2011- FALL SEASON has been GREAT, and last night we The Bizness Magazine team had the opportunity to hang out with the great Grammy Award winning Bonnie Pointer at Vanguard as well as many other fabulous celebrities. The fashion show was over taken by the many performers and the RED carpet treatment. Runway in a club is great for building character and guts and the ladies that were in the show did there very best to stand out and make a lasting impression. Snoops new artists, Mac Lucci gave a star studded performance while Bi Ling graced us with her presence and fashionable image. Eric Zuley as usual worked the crowd while FAE rocked the crowd and the red carpet with her high energy and lovely personality. The last event of the summer. The Bizness Magazine model Iboni James represented at the Ring Da Bingo Album release party at 2nd Street Jazz Cafe. Japanese artists are amazing and the people are fabulous. The special guest of the night was mellow Ace and his beat making flow master son. It is nothing like seeing father and son rip up the stage together. There were many other great artists but Ring da Bing did great by having Mellow Ace in the house, it was REAL hip hop all over again. What can I say... another fun filled weekend with The Bizness Magazine Team. We had the honor and the pleasure of attending the Stonewall Democratic 5th Annual Hero Awards in Los Angeles, CA hosted by Debra Wilson of MAAD TV. Debra Wilson is not only amazing on screen but in person she is full of energy, wisdom, passion and true drive. She wowed the crowd with her passionate opening speech, "We all have a right to be recognized, HERO is a human quality...". Also in attendance was Bernard C. Parks, Amy Lynn Grover, The Saddle Ranch Cast Cassie McWilliams, Nick Frank, Candy Potts, Dave Collins and Ramero Safford, of course the stunning Phoebe Price in one of her great hats, Jan Perry, American Idol winner Sylesha. It was very nice to see Candis Cayne receive the visionary award along with many other honorees. Special thank you to Ari Ruiz Vice President of Stonewall Young Democrats and Steve Escobar of Diversity News for having us cover this event. From the political event to the fashion event, we The Bizness Magazine headed over to the official launch party for Karina Capoda the designer of Pool Side Collections. The place was packed from models, to photographers, celebrities and onlookers and more. Karina pulled in a very nice crowd to support her on this wonderful night. The swimsuits were astonishing from 5th element to lacy black full pieces to shimmery two pieces Karina, we tip our hats off to you for a job very well done. On Saturday, Aug 13th The Bizness Magazine hosted a workshop for their models. If you are looking for models that can do it all from speaking to print work look no further. The Bizness Magazine/ TADAA Marketing grooms there models to be all they can be and more.
The day started with a workshop and ended at the 2011 SOCAL YOUTH TAKEOVER FESTIVAL - FAQS , which was the block parties of all block parties. The event was hosted by NBA star Cedric Ceballos and put on by Loose Ends Events. The purpose of this event was to to support the kids in Los Angeles, CA and bring awareness to the community about the many FREE programs within the greater Los Angeles area such at The Health Spot Check bus, Plan Parent Hood and many others while providing everyone a day full of LIVE entertainment and games such as basketball, water balloon fights and more. We truly enjoyed ourselves as the LIVE music took over the block the kids road there skateboards up and down the block stop to bust a move when there favorite song was played , adults played dominoes and chattered with there friends and there was even a car show with some really sexy old school vehicles. This day was full of laughter ,dancing and GREAT food. We, The Bizness Magazine even had the opportunity to visit The Health Spot Check bus and get tested. NOTE: It is very important to take care of yourself get tested cause you never know what the next person may or may not be doing protect yourself and tell a friend as well. The best part was that many funds were raised for three local youth charities – Teen Line, Inner CityKitchen and Together We Rise. Celebs from all over poured in to support this amazing cause such as Virgina Crawford USA champion for 100 meter and Regional C. Hayes of Girlfriends. While Jasmine and Steffin are styling and profiling on the red carpet on Sunset Blvd, model Melvin and photographer Cherry are at The Highlands on behalf of The Bizness Magazine to support Sam Sarpong's single release party. Sam graced them with his outlandish performance and had the crowd rock from side to side. Now if you have not had the honor to see Sam perform you missed out on a great event. Sam Sarpong is a quadruple threat from Modeling, hosting, rapping and acting Sam Sarpong is the man as he jumps on and off the entertainment scene as he pleases. No matter what Sam does it is always phenomenal due to his charming personality and humble spirit. I must say the highlands was packed and owner LEO was very please at the outcome, stating, "Now I am ready for that interview as he smiled and walked away".Now Friday night is still not over because model Iboni James, Brooklyn Channel and Social media director acting as photographer for the night, journey all the way to San Bernardino, CA to support no other than The Bizness Magazine lil sister, Lil Nay Nay Kirby in her back school showcase. Of course no one could rap about Slug Bugs like Lil Nay Nay and actually having you dancing to it. This young lady is full of talent from being a radio show host to taking the spotlight in the Celo Video "Forget You" Lil Nay Nay is a true role model for many talented you girls. At the age of 9 years old she is well on her way to being a household name. Read more about her in the Summer Issue. Can you say..."The Biz Is What It Is..." ? This weekend was one of many great weekends for The Bizness Magazine team. Model Iboni James and Brooklyn Johnson attended a fashion show at the convention center to support one of the summer issue designers, Faith Rudder of Dhkamani. Faith has been one of the highlighted designers of the summer. We are more than thankful to her for supplying numerous looks for our Bizness Magazine models. Tough the models were not able to stay for the entire show they did state that it was a great set up, a packed house and many amazing designers were set to showcase their designs. Since the launch of the summer issue faith Rudder has been on the go from one fashion show to the next sowing and hemming and created new designs each day on mission of progress. Faith Rudder is set to show case her line again on Sept 10th at the Ladies in Red fashion show/charity event for diabetes. On Saturday we also had the pleasure of partaking in a styling workshop for our entire team lead by our fashion editor Dara Lynn. This was a well needed workshop and all the of the team learned some great new ways to style what they have and take it to the next level. The Bizness Magazine team split up and covered both The Jamaican Independence Day 49 Annual Celebration at Dorsey Park to support the one and only reggae artist Mr. SupriZe and covered the Pasadena Nights 3rd Annual Celebration hosted by the Sparks Los Angeles finest WNBA team to support and cover The Bizness Magazine little sister, Lil Nay Nay Kirby.
The Jamaican Independence day Celebration was put on by Lindon Johnson of the Carib Press. This is an event he does ever year in support of his home town Jamaica. The day was full of great artist such as Papa Splo, Jah Malo, Buggsie of course Mr. SupriZe and many other amazing artists. There was food vendors, blow up slides for the kids and even a soccer game. Reggae artist E-Dee received the achievement award for all of his hard work. E-Dee has been in the business for a good while now and it is long over due for him to receive this award. He premiered his first movie "Out The Gate" earlier this year and it is now showing in Santa Monica, CA. You can also read all about E-Dee in the 2011 Spring issue of The Bizness Magazine. As usual Mr. SupriZe wowed the crowed with his energetic performance and crazy sexy raspy voice. This was a must see event as Lisa Leslie, Tom Hanks and even Bill Bellamy filled the seats and enjoyed the show. Though Lisa Leslie was not as friendly as most would have thought Bill Bellamy embraced us with his warm personality and gorgeous smile. Tom Hanks was a bit hard to get to but still his humble presence was much appreciated. So on to Tuesday June 21, 2011... we the Bizness Magazine hosted our Summer Launch party featuring Eric Zuley. It was an amazing turn out anybody that was somebody showed up. Special guest include but not limited to Rick Mora of Twilight, Johnny V of VH1, David Haris Levi, Center Stage Ent, Niche Michael, Jason Hemmens, Ilhame-Paris and so many others.

On Saturday June16th The Bizness Magazine had the honor of partaking in Aero Entertainments Las Vegas show case/release party for The Rockturnals. It was amazing many people showed up and showed out. Now while some of the Biz Mag team hit up Vegas the other half stayed in Los Angeles, CA and enjoyed the festivities of Juneteenth on Saturday and Sunday. However, on Sunday The Biz Mag lil sister (Lil Nay Nay) put smiles on the entire crowd while performing my favorite tune I'm Just A Kid. We also had the pleasure of enjoying reggae artists Mr. SupriZe rock the stage with his amazing raspy voice and spectacular high energy. There were many other performers such as Dandex, Lady Name B, Jr. Menzie and others. This event was put on and sponsored by CORE-CA and hosted by Venice McLean and Lady Name B.
Then on Friday June 10th we had the pleasure to cover the LA Pride event with Macey Grey feature one of the summer issue rising artists IIhame-Paris. This was not only fun but it was very satisfying to the ear drum. Photographer Michael Rodriguez covered the red carpet as well as the actual performance. Then early on Saturday June 4, 2011 we enjoyed some amazing talent at the Celebrity Center West Cost Indie Summer Jam where no other than MRald set the stage for greatness and then many young stars followed... one of my favorites besides Mrald was Deshaude Barner 25 year from DC. He had real stage presence along with his amazing dancers Elisha and Brayon both 20 years old from Los Angeles, CA. To seal the deal it was Blaze Ducati who commanded the stage with her rap / rockinroll style that woke the crowd up.
However, our day did not end there. After the Summer Jam jump off at the Celebrity Center we headed off to The Paper Castle where EZ / WTV sponsored this amazing event, Arts for Abused Children. Many people showed up such as Lil Zane and his new Rock Band, Sam Sarpong, Celebrity hair stylists Gina Everett and so many others I can't remember name. A special thanks to actress Helen Ozhitskaya and a big hand clap to gospel artist JAI.
The arts for Abused Children is a great charity that anyone should get involved in they need your support so contact WTV for more info on how to give.
The weekend for The Bizness Magazine started on Thursday June 2, 2011 at Millions of Milkshake with Kim Lee of Hangover Parts. Not your average red carpet event but it was fun many people came out to support this event such as Justin Price, Sam Sarpong, Sleepy Brown, Dijion Talton and many other. This event was sweeter than ever and I mean that literally.. Kim Lee was very ice and actually made a good milkshake. We recommend you go check out Millions of Milkshakes today.
On Friday May 20th The Bizness Magazine model Jet and photographer Will Turner and Linda Lossi had the honor of working the Red Carpet at the Ms. Exotic Pageant which was hosted at the Hilton hotel in Universal City. Maria did an amazing job the event was verify well put together and had a great turn out. Some of your regulars graced us with there presences such as Eugine of Sidney Collection of course David Levi and his team and a new face we have not seen in while Eric Zuley in which he was one of the many judges for the evening.
